With 21 days till Halloween, Scareland Stadium’s zombie baseball players and coaches delight in terrorizing new recruits who dare to venture into their ghastly stadium

Augusta, N.J. – Sept. 10, 2014 – Ever dream about playing pro-baseball? Scareland Stadium is offering the chance of a lifetime to any and all rookie guys or gals who dare “try out” for their team. Come and visit the coach’s office, the locker room, showers, training room, doctor’s examining room, bullpen and dugout – and find out why this team is having trouble keeping players in the draft.

At this new haunted attraction, located at Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place in Augusta, scare-seekers will encounter terrifying coaches, an evil doctor and nurse, a horrifying team owner, ghoulish players, a twisted stadium maintenance man and even sadistic office workers. The TERROR starts every weekend night in October, through Nov. 1. The haunt is open 7 pm to midnight, rain or shine, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays: October 10, 11, 12; October 17, 18, 19; and October 24, 25, 26. The final weekend, the haunted attraction is open Thursday through Saturday, October 30, 31 and November 1.

The actors behind the haunt are not your run-of-the-mill thespians – they delight in terrorizing anyone who ventures near with sudden appearances from behind walls, and blood-curdling screams that will give even the bravest of rookies a terrifying jolt. At Scareland, visitors are part of the attraction; you experience the draft pick as if you were a real rookie player, and come face to face with the twisted ballpark coaches who take you through the baseball tryout process, bloody bats and all.

About Skylands Stadium
Skylands Stadium, built in 1994, is located in the heart of Sussex County in Frankford Township, (Augusta) New Jersey.  Skylands Stadium LLC Management purchased the stadium in 2013, including the 4,200-seat ballpark, a 16,000-square foot all-purpose building and the surrounding 28 acres. The new management has renovated the stadium and is in discussions to bring baseball back by 2015 (prior teams that played at the stadium were the Sussex Skyhawks and the MLB affiliate New Jersey Cardinals).

The current Stadium makeover consists of upgrades to all concessions, rest room facilities and seating area, as well as the playing field. A new 5000 square-foot pavilion has been erected down the first base line and a club house and locker rooms have been completely renovated. Additionally, an 18,000 square-foot exhibit hall will be completed this fall; an in-house catering facility will be completed by spring 2015.
