Planning your trip to Skylands Stadium?

Here are the answers to the questions we hear most — so you can spend the most unforgettable night of the summer with us.

Absolutely — Skylands Stadium’s Labor Day weekend baseball games and fireworks shows are the ultimate family outing for all ages. From toddlers to grandparents, everyone loves minor league baseball’s fun atmosphere and the breathtaking post-game fireworks show. Kids go wild for the on-field action, mascot appearances, and the grand finale in the sky. It’s the very definition of affordable Labor Day weekend fun — a night the whole family will talk about for years.

Don’t let a little weather worry stop you from attending what could be the best place to be for this Labor Day weekend in New Jersey! Frontier league baseball games are played in light rain, and the fireworks show is designed to go on regardless of weather. In the unlikely event of a full postponement due to severe weather, please check the Sussex County Miners official website and social channels for updates. We recommend checking the forecast the morning of the event, but historically the show goes on!

Skylands Stadium offers ample free parking on-site, making it incredibly easy whether you’re driving in from Sparta, Newton, Hackettstown, or making the trip from across Northern New Jersey and beyond. The stadium is located right off Route 206 in Augusta, NJ — straightforward and accessible for the whole tri-state region. Arrive early (gates open 1 hour before first pitch) to grab a great spot and soak in the pre-game festivities!

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside Skylands Stadium — but you won’t miss them! The stadium features The Barnyard, an award-winning restaurant & bar,  and a fantastic selection of concessions including classic ballpark favorites: hot dogs, burgers, nachos, popcorn, and cold drinks to keep you fueled all game long. There’s something for every age, and prices are part of what makes this such an affordable Labor Day weekend experience. The full concessions menu is open from gates to the last firework.

Plenty! The fun starts the moment you walk through the gates and doesn’t stop until the last firework fades. MC Mike — a crowd favorite — keeps the energy electric all night with hilarious bits, fan chants, and non-stop hype between every inning. Live music pumps throughout the entire game, giveaways are tossed into the stands all night long, and fan contests (including dancing competitions!) get everyone on their feet. Herbie, the beloved Sussex County Miners mascot, roams the concourse high-fiving fans and posing for photos. And for the little ones, a Kids Zone with a bounce house ensures even the youngest family members are entertained from first pitch to the fireworks finale. There’s truly something for every age — it’s a full night of celebration, not just a baseball game.
