Everything you need to know about this special day when we combine two game in one for a cause.

Battle of the Badges brings the New Jersey and Pennsylvania community together to recognize and support the officers who show up every day, with special moments throughout the game that highlight their impact. A NJ State Police vs. Pennsylvania State Police charity softball game at 4PM is followed by a Miners professional baseball game against the Capitales at 7:05PM.

Frontier league baseball games are played in light rain, and the fireworks show is designed to go on regardless of weather. In the unlikely event of a full postponement due to severe weather, please check the Sussex County Miners official website and social channels for updates. We recommend checking the forecast the morning of, but historically the show goes on.

Skylands Stadium offers ample free parking on-site, making it incredibly easy whether you’re driving in from Sparta, Newton, Hackettstown, or making the trip from across Northern New Jersey and beyond. The stadium is located right off Route 206 in Augusta, NJ — straightforward and accessible for the whole tri-state region. Arrive early to grab a great spot and enjoy the pre-game festivities.
